Rebranding a law firm is the ultimate exercise in positioning. The industry's view of marketing runs the gamut from the ultra- conservative to the adventurous. When we were approached by the law firm Lowenstein Sandler (one of New Jersey's largest) to rebrand the entire organization, we had to start digging.
We spent several weeks researching and polling recent lateral hires, seasoned members of the firm, and past and current clients to gain a true understanding of the perception of the firm both internally and externally. Our goal was to bring the firm's brand to the surface, to expose the positive attributes of the firm that our research had uncovered. This ensured a final positioning that was straightforward, unique, and most important, a brand that the attorneys could embrace.
Beyond logo development, the Lowenstein Sandler branding effort called for the design and production of consumer and professional advertising, newsletters, client alerts, proposals, announcements, invitations, brochures (overview and practice groups,) and trade show displays.
