Overview
Ricoh came to UP Design with a need for some unique Point of Purchase materials. The printer and electronics maker was embarking on a pilot program with a new on-demand printing product that would be tested in airports, and they needed some attractive visuals that would bring travelers up to their print kiosks. The solution included attached die-cut signs, posters, table tents, brochures, and overhead hanging displays.
The chosen creative solution used a playful slogan that loosely referenced air travel, while also being flexible enough to easily apply in other situations and locations. The paper airplane image had an obvious link to airports and air travel, however it also would work well when the campaign was expanded to universities, coffee shops, and other public gathering areas.
